Uz­bekistan is one who celebrates Navruz an­nualy with great enthusiasm. Uzbek people consider Navruz as a symbol of a clear sky, renewal of nature, love of life, as it starts in Spring time; blossom time, full of hope for a better life to those who live in a 4 season country

In Uzbekistan, Navruz is a festival of cre­ation and it is an important role for all Uz­beks spiritual life, where it can strengthen the harmony between human and nature, the approval of the atmosphere of human­ism, tolerance, respect and attention to the elders, as well as caring day for the young people, upbringing the young generation in both national’ spirit and universal values.

Navruz is a time of transformation and awakening of nature. The tradition of cele­brating the day of the vernal equinox – March 21 has its roots in early antiquity and is inex­tricably linked with almost all aspects of hu­man life – the life, work, and culture, a per­fect chain in human life where nobody can reject the existence of the nature of life, the intention of working as to fulfill life’s event and the creation of culture which can give the happiness and cheerful for human after their hard work during 11 months.

Each country cel­ebrates Navruz has its remarkable history, and the festival was indicated to the holy book Aviesta as well as the His­tory of the Tang Dynasty in Chinese chronicle re­lated to the early Middle Ages.

Many au­thors wrote about Navruz, and the most valuable infor­mation is contain in the treatises of Abu Rayhan Biruni, Navoi, Babur, Narshakhi, Isa al-Kis­rawi, works of Ferdowsi, Omar Khayyam, Sakkoki.

After gaining the independence, Uzbeks celebrate Navruz in more revived and ac­quired a deeper meaning and content. Islam Karimov, the President of Uzbekistan said, for centuries the holiday of Navruz has been embodying the noble values and fine tradi­tions of Uzbeks people; their good intentions and aspirations which is an invaluable heri­tage of Uzbeks ancestors, and in the years of independence it has become a truly national holiday, all compatriots regardless national­ity, language and religion.

Navruz symbolizes the eternal cycle of life, the greatness and the boundless gener­osity of nature. Traditionally, it is celebrated in all regions of the country as a national holi­day, with the participation of representatives of all nations and nationalities. People for­give each other all the insults, the rich visits the poor, the lonely and helpless and warm them with care and gifts. Everyone is carried out on landscaping and gardening, streets, squares and gardens, both by companies and organizations.

Navruz means togetherness with variety of meals, which is arranged in the hope of coming fruitful and properous year. When everyone get together in one place, the au­thorities will serve their local guests with many different national dishes which served on dastarkhan and the lord of festive dishes is Sumalak, a spring delicacy that is cooked from flour and sprouted wheat grains symbolizing life, heat, abun­dance and health.

Navruz means dancing, singing and theatrical perfor­mances are also organized to sprinkle the festival. Ev­erything is saturated with spring freshness, joy, new hopes, which give every citizen the fes­tive mood to do folk games and amusements, horse and sports are also held during this happy day.

On the occasion of Navruz holiday a large celebration in the National Park of Uzbeki­stan named after Alisher Navoi is held.

Navruz is celebrated by millions of peo­ple and unites people internationally and contributes to the promotion of our cultural values in other countries. Since September 2009 Navruz has been included in the UNES­CO Representative List of the Intangible Cul­tural Heritage of Humanity, and at the end of February 2010 the 64th session of the UN General Assembly declared March 21 as the International Day of Navruz. The celebration of this date indicates that the international community recognizes its importance in pro­moting the ideas of humanism, the preserva­tion of peace, solidarity and good neighborli­ness.

This bright holiday signifies the onset of the plentiful and abundant spring. Navruz strengthen solidarity and friendship accord­ing to its value and is relevant in the present time when the whole planet is in urgent of peace and tranquility, mutual understand­ing between nations, a genuine agreement between the representatives of different faiths.
