In Hebrew, Al Quds called as Yerushalayim while in Arabic called Al-Quds or Bait-ul-Muqaddas, meaning “The Holy City/Home” located on a plateau in the Judean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea. It is one of the oldest cities in the world. In the ancient cuneiform, Jerusalem was called “Urusalima”, meaning “The City of Peace”, during the early Canaanite period approximately 2400 BC. It is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions—Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Israelis and Palestinians both claim Jerusalem as their capital, as Israel maintains its primary governmental institutions there and the State of Palestine ultimately foresees it as its seat of power; however, neither claim is widely recognized internationally.

In Sunni Islam, Jerusalem is the third-holiest city, after Mecca and Medina. In Islamic tradition in 610 CE it became the first qibla, the focal point for Muslim prayer (salat) and Muhammad made his Night Journey there ten years later, ascending to heaven where he speaks to God, according to the Quran. As a result, despite having an area of only 0.9 square kilometres (0.35 sq mi), the Old City is home to many sites of seminal religious importance, among them the Temple Mount and its Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Dome of the Rock, the Garden Tomb and al-Aqsa Mosque.

As a comprehensive way of life, Islam encompasses a complete moral system that is an important aspect of its worldview. Islam’s moral system is striking in that it not only defines morality, but also guides the human race in how to achieve it, at both an individual as well as a collective level. From an Islamic perspective, the purpose of human life is to worship God, by leading this worldly life in harmony with the divine will, and thereby achieve peace in this world, and everlasting success in the life of the hereafter. Muslims look to the glorious Quran and the traditions of the Prophet as their moral guides.

It was by Rouhullah Al-Mousawi Ali Khomeini on August 7, 1979 made in first Iranian history as he marked Quds Days as the time to deliver Du’a to the Palestinians.

“I invite Muslims all over the globe to consecrate the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan-which & Istri a day of fate and which the fate of the Palestinian people might be determined-as “Quds Day and to proclaim the international solidarity of Muslims in support of the ligitimate rights of the Muslim people of Palestine.

Last year protesters rallied across the world to denounce Israeli atrocities against Palestine, which include three bombing campaigns against Gaza in the past six years. Israel’s wars have killed and injured tens of thousands of Palestinians. Israel receives weapons, funds and political support from some western countries. Rights groups urge an end to Israel’s policy of abusing Palestinians, especially young children.

This year, Iranians has been preparing for International Quds Day rallies to show their solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians, with state officials and major bodies calling for a high turnout in nationwide events. President Hassan Rouhani urged Iranian and world Muslims to stage a more unified presence at the rallies this year. The aggression against the Palestinians through backchannel efforts and by trying to create conflicts among regional Muslims must be urgently stopped. It will be a true representation of unanimity and unity in the Muslim world.” Calling for massive participation in the rallies.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution reiterated that under such circumstances, defending Palestine is the manifestation of defending Islam. He stressed that with this macro-perspective towards the issues of the region, the Islamic Republic of Iran considers defending the Palestinian cause as its responsibility and it will continue carrying out this responsibility in the future as well.” And it is in the Nature of Iranians.

Disintegrating the region through provoking internal war between Shia and Sunni by some countries that contradict with Iran does not make the Iranian lost their faith and togetherness as one nation and performing their Soft Power has shown the legacy of Iran as the Great Country with the Great Nation having full of faith to the Glory in the Middle East. As a country needs to be taken into account, it will not work if you want to divide the unity of Iranians, since Iranian is one of the nations in the world that has the highest civilization even since 580-529 BC.

Millions of people worldwide will mark International Quds Day on the last Friday of Ramadan which will be on Friday, the 1st July 2016 and Quds Day is commemorated to remember the Palestinian struggles and resistance against Israel. Let us show our compassion to the wounded Palestinian children even to the Palestinian young people who were killed by the hot bullets. The world needs the wise leaders, hand in hand developing the land in earth as one and live side by side as brothers and sisters. Life is so beautiful to be destroyed.
