Police Reveal Cause of Car Hit by KRL 1077 in Citayam

BOGOR-TODAY.COM, DEPOK – The KRL 1077 accident for the Bogor-Jakarta Kota route involving one car in Citayam, Depok was caused by the driver breaking through the doorstop at the downstream line crossing the Citayam-Depok Station.

To note, the doorstop is guarded manually by guards.

Launching cnnindonesia.com, Wednesday (20/4/2022) Pancoran Police Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Mas Iptu Said Abu, said that at that time the crossbar was actually half closed, but because the vehicle was in an uphill position, the driver finally forced his way through the bar.

“Information from the doorstop guard, the car was in an uphill state. Even though at that time the doorstop was half closed. And the driver was desperate to break through,” Said said in his statement.

Luckily, there were no fatalities in the incident, only the driver was injured. Finally, he was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

“There are no victims, only injured and have been taken to the hospital. Because before the incident the driver immediately got out of the car,” he said.

For that incident, PT KAI did some engineering. The Jakarta-Bogor route is forced to only serve up to Depok Station.
