Suspected Bomb, Jihandak Pusdikzi Team Secures a Bag in the Main Lobby of the Bogor City DPRD

BOGOR-TODAY.COM, BOGOR – The Explosives Disposal Team (Jihandak) from the Engineers Education Center Battalion (Pusdikzi) secured a red bag suspected of being a bomb in the main lobby of the Bogor City DPRD, Wednesday (25/5/2022).

The security of the suspected bomb was a simulation in the context of training Jihandak officers to anticipate the threat of explosives or bombs placed by unknown persons. Major Corps Engineers (CZI) Benny Faisal said the Jihandak team carried out simulations in the context of training Jihandak officers to anticipate the threat of explosives or bombs placed by unknown persons.

“There are officer students from all over Indonesia from Aceh, Kalimantan, Papua, with a total of 20 students of Jihandak officer education,” said Major Corps Engineer (CZI) Benny Faisal.

According to him, this activity is an application for students, after getting lessons at Puskidzi with the existing materials. For the type of bomb used in this exercise, Benny continued, it was a time bomb. Where, the materials are made of PVC pipe or paralon which is given a timer.

As for the duration and type, said Benny, the Jihanda officers can get information by using the scantrack tool. If the automatic time bomb, the officer must immediately defuse it quickly.

“Whether in one minute or an hour the bomb will explode, so the implementation of the security must be fast, of course in accordance with the procedure,” said Benny. (Aditya).
